Well, what a wedding celebration it was!
Siobhan and Michael are such a great couple and I really do have great memories of a vibrant, happy sunny wedding day matched with the beautiful venue that is Ufton Court.
The day began at Siobhan’s home surrounded by her bridesmaids, mum and sister all giddy with enthusiasm and having a lot of fun. As everyone was so carried away by the excitement it was easy for me to capture some superb candid shots without anyone realizing.
When Siobhan came down the stairs in her stunning wedding dress by Margaret Moorland, (the lace detailing on the dress and back was beautiful and the veil looked very dramatic in the photographs as you will see! )
Siobhan’s father and family were totally overwhelmed with emotion.
Next, it was onto the Holy Trinity Church in Theale. The church looked incredible and it was fun to start capturing all the guests arriving and Michael the groom looking very dapper surrounded by his ushers and best man.
The bride-to-be soon arrived with her father
and bridesmaids and I quickly captured some portraits of her walking from the car and into the church.
The ceremony was beautiful, the choir singing like angels the theme song from the TV program Victoria.
With the sun beating down outside the church I captured the newlyweds walking through the confetti line and then it was on to the beautiful historic Ufton Court where the reception was held in their fantastic barn festooned in the evening with magical fairy lights.
With the weather being so fantastic I ran around capturing lots of candid moments of the guests enjoying their drinks in the sun and the bridesmaids larking about on the space hoppers that had been hired by Michael and Siobhan.
Next, it was on to the wedding breakfast and special mention goes to the wedding cake made by Michael’s mum Nicky, amazing!
With the speeches done and dusted we quickly nipped outside for some relaxed and fun portraits of the bride and groom in the stunning grounds of Ufton Court.
Evening entertainment was provided by DJ Justin Banwell from Black Panther DJ & Event Services. Special mention to Michael‘s brother Chris who sang the song ‘Ho Hey’ by The Lumineers for the first dance accompanied by all the wedding guests singing along: a very moving moment!
The dance floor was full from the beginning of the evening to the very last dance which was Mumford and Sons ‘lover of the light’.
Congratulations to Micheal & Siobhan on becoming
man and wife!

Praise
A massive thank you to Charlie for catching the best day of our lives. From the very first meeting, we felt that we were talking to a friend rather than a ‘supplier’. He seemed to understand everything we envisaged our wedding to be – a fun relaxed day with love ones. He put everybody at ease, there was never any awkward posing, everything felt so natural. The photographs will live with me forever. There is something so easy and relaxed about them but then some of the evening shots are so dramatic. We knew Charlie’s way of working from attending a friend’s wedding the year before and when I saw the photos I knew I wanted Charlie to photograph our wedding. He did not disappoint with our wedding! both our families still talk about Charlie how he felt like a friend, how he was always taking photos, capturing special moments but not interrupting the day. He worked non-stop all day and yet was so cool and relaxed – thank you so much, Charlie, we honestly could not be happier!
