Charlie is a very talented individual and he has been just amazing throughout our wedding, from the pre-wedding shoot, on the day and afterwards! The amount of effort and thought that went into every single picture blew us away. We’ve just received our photos back which beautifully tells the story of our wedding, we and all our friends and family have been blown away by the outstanding quality. We fell so lucky to have found someone as incredible as Charlie to be part of our special day.

We are over the moon with our wedding photographs from Charlie. The beautiful photo slide show he put together for us has so far brought tears to the eyes of myself and hubby, my bridesmaid, mum, sisters and auntie. The photos captured the essence of our day perfectly and Charlie caught so many moments which just complete the day for us. We will treasure the photos always 🙂 Charlie was so great to work with, considering I had 7 bridesmaids and Alex had 6 ushers he effortlessly organised us for our group shots, made everyone laugh and fitted in so well. From the moment we met Charlie for our engagement shoot we just loved him! He’s so much fun to be around and just put us at ease. The photos were simply beautiful. On our wedding day it was like just having an old friend there. Everyone presumed we’d known him for years! The photos were amazing, as we knew they would be, but with Charlie you don’t just get a photographer!! He also sang an amazing impromptu rendition of U2’s One Love with our wedding singer, which sounded like they’d practiced for months inspite of having only just met! Then at 11 when the venue cut the DJ’s power mid song he stepped in and led everyone in an a Capella version or Don’t Look Back in Anger. Hearing everyone sing their hearts out by candlelight was a pretty epic end to what initially felt like a crisis!! Oh, and then after a mix up with taxis left us stranded he gave us a lift back to our hotel! You basically couldn’t ask for any more from your wedding photographer! Get in touch with him, I promise you won’t regret it!

We met Charlie at one of our family’s weddings the year before ours. We were so impressed by his enthusiasm and personality that we booked him before we even had a venue! Having settled on Ireland as a location Charlie was on board from the start and was in constant contact from the beginning. On the run up to the wedding we had a little taste of the work he was going to do with us when we went for a lovely evening at Frensham Ponds for a pre shoot. Having never had a professional photo shoot we had no idea of what to expect, Charlie was brilliant in making us feel welcome and was able to guide us on what to do and how to look. Charlie really went the extra mile on the weekend of our wedding; he arrived the day before and could not contain his excitement at the location. He spent best part of a day taking shots and getting to know the local area, which proved vital on the day of the wedding. The evening before our wedding Charlie again went the extra mile and was with us for dinner and came with us after to our favorite local pub. It was more like having a family friend with us than a photographer, he was engaging with everyone and only added to the atmosphere. The day of the wedding was up in the air due to the classic Irish weather, we ended up going ahead and using the beach. Charlie had spent the morning with the Bride and Bridesmaids capturing in great detail every aspect of the preparation then came across to the windswept beach. Throughout the day and into the evening Charlie didn’t only take the staged shots that we wanted, he captured intimate shots that most people would have missed. We could carry on typing about Charlie for pages however the real proof is in the end result, the photos were beyond amazing. Charlie constantly goes above and beyond what he needed to do and as a bonus is a just a brilliant guy! He is more than just a photographer and we can’t recommend him enough!

Words can’t describe what an incredible photographer Charlie is. The moments he captured of our wedding are priceless and each and every one of our guests commented on how wonderful the photos were. We met Charlie in Chamonix in 2014 when he came and photographed our chalet for our website and were absolutely thrilled with the images. The warmth and enthusiasm he exudes is instant. Having spent the whole day with him and then keeping in contact over the next couple of years, when our son announced his engagement Charlie really was the only person we thought of contacting to capture the day. What a day it was! Pouring rain for what should have been an outdoor service did not dampen spirits and there are some amazing shots in the rain with umbrellas. Charlie really is one of the nicest people we’ve ever met. His enthusiasm for people and capturing natural images is incredible. He really has re produced Alex and Emma’s day from beginning to end, capturing the smallest and biggest moments as well as the whole ambience. It can be challenging to find a photographer that you feel gets you as a couple and that you feel will be able to capture your day that you would like..From the very first chat with Charlie we felt instantly at ease, so friendly,warm and interested in you as a couple. Charlie instantly got what it was that we wanted from our wedding pics – a relaxed, casual look with plenty of everyone enjoying themselves and the day. At first I was reluctant to have too many “posey” couple shots – Charlie respected this but I’m so glad he encouraged us to have a few moments out of the day to have some as this is such a special day about the two of you and also after receiving our photos WOW am I glad we did! Charlie makes everyone feel at ease and our guests loved him and found it hilarious that he suggested a few “selfies!” He knows how to get the best out of everyone and really captures the emotions. When we got our pics back I couldn’t believe there was only him on the day! He must have been running everywhere to capture as much as he did! Charlie gave us a pre-wedding photo engagement shoot as part of our package and I would thoroughly recommend this as it gives you a chance to work together and feel more relaxed on the day-and get some gorgeous pics! We are over the moon of our pics from the wedding day – the quality is fantastic and the online gallery is so easy for guests to look at and order from. Charlie, nothing we can put into words will ever do any of your photos the justice you or they deserve but you really were the icing on the top of our wedding cake! Not only did you make the day so special and exciting, you made the preparations and planning fun and easy. You weren’t just our photographer, it felt as though you were our guest on the day, part of the family – and without you it wouldn’t have been the same. You captured every single moment of the best day of our lives and in each of those photos the emotions and feelings are clear. Wow what an amazing photographer and what a lovely man! Charlie put in so much effort from start to finish, we skyped about 3 times before the wedding so he knew the exact weekend plan and exactly what we wanted from our wedding photos. We had a destination wedding and as soon as Charlie arrived he integrated seamlessly into our wedding party, we were only 35 people and everyone commented how much he just felt like another guest which was lovely. The morning of the wedding was a bit stressful due to a flower crisis and Charlie handled the highly emotional bridal party perfectly, he captured the preparation so wonderfully without us even noticing him there. The photos are phenomenal, we got everything we wanted and so much more and the best bit is we didn’t just get sent a few hundred that he chose, we got EVERTYHING (all 984 photos and approx. 2 hours of GoPro footage)!! He genuinely loved seeing us get married and really cared and I feel like we have made a life long friend, can’t recommend him enough! 🙂 Once again Charlie thank you so much, we love looking at our photos and getting taken back to our magical day x

Our amazing day was captured by the most amazing photographer Charlie Davies leaving us with a stunning collection of pictures from the whole weekend so we will never forget the memories and laughs we had making them! We got married in Italy and were lucky enough to have Charlie with us for the whole time, he went to all the venue to ensure he knew the right angles and best light to capture the perfect picture! If you have decided to have Charlie as your wedding photographer we can only congratulate you. Because, to ask Charlie to be our wedding photographer was probably the best decision we have ever made. We have been extremely happy with every single picture he has taken, from our pre-shoot pictures, to the wedding weekend photos, to the design & layout of our wedding album. The quality of the photos aside, Charlie was also perfect to deal with as a person, and everything was really a smooth ride from the beginning to the end. Also looking at quality / price ratio, Charlie is a bargain, he is a top-of-the-line photographer to the price of ‘any other’ wedding photographer. We really wanted to capture the faces of our loved ones as they really are, and that is why we chose Charlie to start with. We had looked at his portfolio and were stunned about his ability to capture moments, feelings & expressions in every person. Once we got in contact we talked several times on the phone about what we wanted & how we wanted it to be. Charlie flew over for a pre-shoot where we spent time together trying to feel comfortable kissing in front of a camera, and we could then have a look at those pictures together to also let him know which styles we liked more and which we liked less. For our wedding weekend, Charlie really spent ALL day and night with us, and captured every single moment so well. Aside from taking the most stunning pictures, he prepared us a beautiful album online where all of the pics are captured, as well as a printed amazing photo book that he sent over to Sweden. His photography style and quality is top notch and we have been absolutely amazed about his ability to capture faces & feelings through the lens of his camera. We give our warmest & best recommendations that we could ever give for Charlie, and rate him 100 on a scale of 5. He is simply the BEST BEST BEST photographer you could ever think of. We knew we wanted something a bit more adventurous and exciting for our wedding pictures, we were planning an action packed day on the mountain combining skiing and our wedding ceremony, so we needed a photographer who could keep up on the piste as well as creating some beautiful images, and as soon as we saw Charlie’s work we knew he would be the photographer for us! Sure enough, Charlie worked with us in advance to plan the day and make sure we were ready to capture everything we wanted, and on the day he worked tirelessly with great skill and enthusiasm and became a real part of our celebrations. From action shots on the mountain to intimate moments during our ceremony, every picture tells a story and the whole album flows beautifully. We still haven’t narrowed it down to which few we want to print – as we want them all! We were given a list of photographers from our wedding planner, and Charlie’s work caught our eye. The photos looked fun without being cheesy, professional and personal to each wedding. We met Charlie before the wedding to have a pre wedding photo shoot. This was really useful for both Mike and I to relax in front of the camera, and to feel at ease with Charlie. After the photo shoot and a long chat over tea and coffee we really were happy that Charlie would be perfect for our big day. On the day Charlie was there while we got ready, through to the evening dancing. He was great at taking the pictures without people noticing, but then was great when needing to organise the guest for group shots. We later discovered that Charlie had been very unwell the night before. However he was so professional that we did not even have the slightest idea. He was energetic and happy all day … I assume he crashed the next day! I could not be happier with the photos that we got back. Charlie has managed to capture so many great moments and has got great natural pictures of all the guests through out the day. Looking through the pictures in sequence, really brings back great feelings of the day …. even though i have looked through them 100’s of times! 🙂 Mike and I could not recommend Charlie more. His work is fantastic, his approach to his work is professional and his personality is so easy to get on with. We have not only got great photos but also a great memory of working with Charlie …
